FAQ
Which patina works with which metal?
Blue and green patinas are made for copper, bronze and brass (green reacts most strongly on copper). Red patina is for iron, for rust and oxidised effects. Dark bronze and zinc also take patinas: the set of all three lets you test them.
What does the patina react with?
Real metal. It works by reacting chemically with a surface made with LMFX metal powders and binders, which gives authentic age, colour variation and depth.
Do I need to seal it?
A clear sealer is recommended, to protect the patina from general wear.
How do I use it safely?
Wear gloves and eye protection, and use in a well-ventilated area. Keep it out of drains and watercourses, and read the safety data sheet before use.
